We have spoken to many families and know that the need for parents to connect on issues around raising children of color is of great importance.
Our meetups are a fantatsic way to meet other families who can be a resource for you -- and you for them. In fact, we expect our families to pour into the group, not just take from it. Whether it's leading a workshop (yoga, anyone?) or organizing the refreshments for a meetup, there is a part to be played.
As our Parent Group grows, so will our "Parent-Only" events. From coffee mixers to game nights, we want our parent members to feel a sense of belongingness, too. We will strive to ensure that happens.
